It can be found all over the world: test equipment from Rohde & Schwarz. Wherever electronic signals are generated and measured. We offer cost-effective solutions for any application from DC well up into the microwave range. The product portfolio includes - besides spectrum analyzers - a signal analyzer for analysis in frequency, time, and modulation domain in one box (FSIQ) or in a high dynamic range and demodulation bandwidth (FSQ) and different vector signal analyzer (VSA) options.
In the frequency domain the R&S FSIQ, a signal analyzer for the 3rd mobile radio generation, measures intermodulation and harmonic with great accuracy. The excellent dynamic range and the optimized phase noise values make the FSIQ an ideal tool for ACPR (Adjacent Channel Power Ratio) measurements in all mobile radio systems and in particular for W-CDMA. The maximum ACPR value for W-CDMA in 4.096 MHz bandwidth is 75 dB and is already attained at -12 dBm input level.
Phase noise, intermodulation and spurious suppression all play a role in the measurement of ACPR (adjacent-channel power ratio). The integrated vector signal analyzer (VSA) makes it possible to measure signal distortion caused by the device under test quickly and reliably. The IQ signal characteristics can precisely be measured with the aid of the marker functions. Imbalance of the modulator under test or spurious emissions can quickly and reliably be determined.
The FSIQ comes with hardware options harmonic mixer 40 GHz to 60 GHz and harmonic mixer 50 GHz to 75 GHz.
The Signal Analyzer R&S FSQ is based on the tried and tested R&S FSU family and extends the IQ demodulation bandwidth to 28 MHz. The FSQ features software for measurements on 802.11a WLAN, IQ data extraction, fast TOI (Third-Order Intercept Point) measurement functions, 8566 replacement, 8563 replacement etc. (the Third-Order Intercept Point (TOI) is only for the spectrum analyzer function)
For measurements on 802.11 signals the R&S FSQ offers application firmware for 802.11a TX measurements R&S FSQ-K90 and windows-based WLAN test software for 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g TX measurements. It also comes with the vector signal analyzer (VSA) option FSQ-K70. This firmware performes the amplifier distortion measurements on modulated signals and has 28 MHz IQ demodulation bandwidth.
